As the largest port-side cold storage facility in Central China, the 30,000-ton-level cold storage has officially been put into operation within the Yangluo Port Area of the Wuhan New Port Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone. Equipped with advanced automated high-bay freezing technology, this facility is set to significantly drive the logistics industry toward higher levels of development.
Located in the northwest corner of the Yangluo Port Area, the cold storage lies within the customs-supervised special zone but outside the fencing perimeter, adjacent to the Hubei Provincial Imported Meat Designated Inspection Site. With a total construction area of 16,816 square meters, a storage capacity of 30,000 tons, and an annual turnover capacity exceeding 300,000 tons, the facility features 18 loading/unloading docks. It comprises a high-bay storage area, low-temperature storage rooms, high-temperature storage rooms, and a staging area.
The automated high-bay cold storage recently put into operation is situated within the 30,000-ton facility, covering an area of 3,000 square meters. It includes a storage zone, a buffer zone, and a receiving/dispatch area, with a total of 8,704 storage slots and a capacity of 8,704 tons. Upon arrival at the Yangluo Port Cold Chain Logistics Zone, frozen food undergoes processes such as disinfection, temperature checking, tallying, palletizing, code recording, film wrapping, and warehousing before being transferred to the automated high-bay cold storage as required.
